Professor Syed Ahsanul Alam has been appointed as Global Law Thinkers Society’s global chief advisor.

He is a renowned political economist from Bangladesh, carrying a long dynamic career in different sectors and teaches at the University of Chittagong and lectured widely at various business schools.

He is a thinker, social reformer and widely known as a pro-poor economist working for poverty reduction through budgetary techniques. He was the former Chairman of the Department of Marketing at the University of Chittagong with expertise in entrepreneurship, investment, banking, insurance & dynamic governance.

He is Chairman of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), Director, Chittagong Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce & Industry & Civil Sponsor of Defense Services command & staff College (DSCSC).

He is the author of “Equitable Society” and “Poor Friendly Budget” along with 100 published articles. “Professor Parvez – Life and Philosophy” is a well-renowned book on his thoughts and leadership activities for social change.

He is committed to build a pro-poor economy and balanced society. As Global Chief Advisor he wants to guide the new generation for building a balanced world.
